Who is Haven; Home, Safe? 


Haven; Home, Safe has been providing services to the homeless and disadvantaged for 40 years across the Loddon and Mallee regions of the state. We assist thousands of people each year who are in housing crisis, homelessness, or in financial stress, helping them address the issues leading to their circumstances and find appropriate housing. 

 We offer a variety of housing types from short-term emergency accommodation through to transitional and long-term affordable rental housing across Victoria. We also provide specialist support services ranging from housing assistance for the elderly through to disability residential support. 



What is workplace giving? 


Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for employees to regularly donate to charities or organisations that are entitled to receive tax deductible donations. Through Workplace Giving, employees can select a charity nominated by their employer that they want to support, specifying a regular donation to be taken from their salary before tax each pay cycle. 


As donations are deducted from pre–tax pay, the tax benefit for the employee is immediate and there is no need to keep receipts or claim at tax time. The employer will then pay the donation directly to the charity, and in some cases match the donation amount specified by the employee. The total amount donated at the end of the financial year is reported on the employees PAYG Payment Summary.

Where do donations go?

Currently, your Workplace Giving donation will go towards our highly awarded, Sidney Myer Haven project. This incredible project changes lives and assists people to nd lifetime solutions and to create better future outcomes.

The Sidney Myer Haven model is an Australian rst, designed to combine safe, secure and a ordable housing for young people who had been homeless or at risk of being homeless with an intensive development and support program.

This program is designed to help them to set up to become valuable and engaged community members and to exit the program within 24 months. The Sidney Myer Haven has been proven to provide a social and economic return to the community of $12 for every dollar invested - this is an extraordinary outcome creating pathways to real change. Using this return on investment, if you choose to contribute just $5 per week, the true impact of this small amount is up to $60.
